Kids love to thread kabobs; even fairly young children can help. Note: Grandpa Vic loved the flavor of these simple kabobs.

      Kids love to thread kabobs; even fairly young children can help. Note: Grandpa Vic loved the flavor of these simple kabobs.

    Ingredients

    Instructions

    1. Soak the bamboo skewers in water, if you don’t want the tips to blacken.
    2. Cut the carrots and cook in a little water until tender or microwave in a covered dish. Drain the pineapple and save the juice.

    5. Drain the pineapple and save the juice.
    6. Mix the olive oil, soy sauce and pineapple juice in a large mixing bowl.

    7. Add all the remaining ingredients and mix to coat.

    8. Thread the ingredients onto the skewers – any pattern works, as you will learn if the children do it. Have fun.

    9. Put on a grill, barbecue or on a tray and broil until the chicken is done. In my oven it took about 7 minutes, then I turned them over and cooked for another 6 minutes.
    10. Dinner is served.
