Fresh Basil Hummus

Fresh basil combines wonderfully with the hummus and gives it an even more warm, earthy taste. Serving the hummus on or with fresh tomatoes, makes it taste even better!
Fresh Basil Hummus

Creating a Basil Hummus dip
Ingredients
- 15 ounces can garbanzo beans reduced sodium, drained
- 15 ounces can tomatoes reduced sodium
- 2 tablespoons tahini or peanut butter
- 2 ½ tablespoon lemon juice fresh
- 2 ½ tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
- ¼ teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon garlic minced
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 3 tablespoons basil fresh , chopped
Instructions
- Blend all the ingredients
- Blend until smooth
- Garnish with additional fresh basil (optional)
- Put in refrigerator for a few hour to set up.
- Serve with fresh vegetables or salad (Delicious instead of salad dressing)
