Flavorful Roasted Asparagus

Ingredients
- 1 pound asparagus fresh trimmed
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 2 tablespoons shallot minced
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds toasted
- 1 teaspoon ginger freshly grated
- 1/2 teaspoon lime zest
- 1 tablespoons lime juice optional
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 500°F
- Coat the asparagus with oil.
- Spread on a baking sheet with sides.
- Prepare ginger, shallot, lime and sesame seeds while asparagus is roasting.
- Roast for 6 to 8 minutes, depending upon the size of your asparagus, more time for larger asparagus. Shake pan after each 2 minutes, to turn over.
- Sprinkle with the shallots, sesame seeds, ginger, and lime zest.
- Roast for one or two more minutes, until the asparagus just begins to be a little crisp. Sprinkle with a little limejuice, if desired.
