Whole Wheat Sugar Cookies

Ingredients:
- ¾ c. butter, softened but not melted
- 1 c. sugar or Dr. Grandma’s Zero-calorie All-natural Sweetener
- ½ tsp. nutmeg
- 2 Tbsp. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 Tbsp. lemon zest (finely grated peel)
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- ½ tsp. salt
- ½ tsp. baking soda
- 1 ¾ c. Dr. Grandma’s 100% Whole Organic Hard Red Spring Wheat Flour
Roll cookies in:
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- ½ tsp. cinnamon
Directions:
- Heat oven to 375° F.
- Cream butter, sugar, nutmeg, milk, vanilla, lemon zest, and egg.
- Mix baking powder, salt, baking soda, and flour.
- Gradually, blend in to butter mixture.
- Roll rounded tablespoons full into cinnamon sugar mixture, flatten slightly and place on an ungreased cookie sheet, about an inch apart.
- Bake for 8 to 10 minutes until light golden brown.
